Soda Centre History
The store opened in October of 1982 after John C. McKinley, founder and owner of Soda Centre & Home Brewer's Retail, started making beer and it's a hobby gone mad. During the early 80's John started experimenting with homemade beer. A year later, after testing various ways of making home brews, he realized an opportunity staring back at him from his glass and decided to help others get started with their own home brewing.
Over the years business grew beyond his expectations, shelves were stocked with more and more product. Soda Centre & Home Brewer's Retail has been growing ever since. We now have one of the best selections of home brewing and wine making supplies under one roof in North America.

What are people saying about us?
The best place in Scarborough is on Kingston Rd. and Overture, just east of the Guild Inn area.
Soda Centre & Home Brewer's Retail

4180 Kingston Road,
Scarborough, ON M1E 2M4
It's on the side of a plaza, so it's easy to miss - but it's close to the Guildwood GO train stop (next intersection East?)

thekulman,
I owe you the greatest of kudos!
I went to the Soda Centre today, and purchased a beginners kit (Mind you I used eBay and for $65 CND purchased 88 bottles of brand new Grolsch type bottles, and two Glass Carboys, 2 Buckets and 2 airlocks!! all picked up locally!)
The Kit round off some of the items I need
another bucket with spigot
hoses, spoon, bottling tubes, one airlock, and bag of Dextrose..
plus one kit of any beer of my choice!!
All for $54 dollars with tax!!! The staff was brilliant! I am heading there tomorrow to get some more gadgets (funnel, hydrometer, more stoppers for the carboys..)
Again, cheers for the help!!
I will keep everyone posted of my progress,

I usually get the specialty grains and liquid yeast at the Soda Centre & Home Brewer's Retail on Kingston Road in Scarborough or the Wine and Beer Factory in Brampton or even on-line sometimes (although the shipping kills you).

I have a home soda maker (Mr Butlers) and couldn't find a dealer or CO2 refill place - until today. Soda Centre and Home Brewers Retail has cylinders for nearly every piece of equipment you can imagine. They're at 4180 Kingston Road, Scarborough, (416) 284-0007.
